Dr. Loren Borud: Helping Patients Gain Greater Confidence Through Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery
For almost two decades, Dr. Loren Borud has helped countless patients gain greater confidence through aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures. Specializing in body contouring techniques, Dr. Borud is one of the most respected surgeons in the field.
After earning dual Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Physics at Stanford University in 1986, Dr. Borud began his pursuit for medical excellence. In 1990, he got his Doctorate in Medicine from the prestigious Harvard Medical School in Boston with a thesis on HIV epitope mapping, after which he completed a five-year residency in general surgery at UCLA, and then added two years of research in its Plastic Surgery Division. After three more years of training in plastic surgery and hand microsurgery at New York University, Dr. Borud obtained his board certification from the American Board of Surgery.
More recently, Dr. Borud has gone beyond his clinical practice by providing advice to US companies on the various innovations in the field of surgical technology. He is also in the process of completing an executive MBA program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, at Evanston, Illinois.
